At Geotex Engineering, we believe that strong communities are built on a foundation of education, opportunity, and mentorship. While our work focuses on helping build schools, roads, and infrastructure throughout Texas, we are equally committed to investing in the students who will one day lead those projects, solve complex challenges, and shape the future of our communities.

Supporting education is one of Geotex Engineering’s core community initiatives, and we are proud to continue investing in the next generation of STEM professionals.

Scholarships Awarded In The Following Districts:

Empowering Future Female Leaders in STEM

In 2025, as part of our 15th Anniversary “15 for 15” Scholarship Program, Geotex Engineering launched an initiative to support young women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program awarded fifteen $500 scholarships to outstanding students across our client school districts. The success of that effort reinforced our commitment to educational outreach and workforce development. This year, we were proud to continue the scholarship program, extending support to another group of future female leaders pursuing STEM-related fields.

These scholarships represent more than financial assistance—they are an investment in the future engineers, scientists, researchers, and innovators who will help shape our communities for years to come.

Bringing Engineering into the Classroom

Our commitment to education extends beyond scholarship funding. Throughout the year, Geotex team members volunteer their time to engage with students, introduce them to STEM careers, and provide real-world examples of engineering in action.

In April, our geotechnical team participated in the Henrietta ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase, where students explored rock cores and learned about geotechnical investigations performed for the Henrietta High School project. The hands-on presentation demonstrated how engineers evaluate subsurface conditions and use data to support safe and successful construction.

Our team also participated in the Spring Career Day at Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in Dallas ISD. Amy Brothers, P.E., shared her experiences as an engineer, discussed the path to professional licensure, and highlighted the many opportunities available within the engineering profession. The students’ enthusiasm and engagement underscored the importance of exposing young people to STEM careers at an early age.

At the Denison College and Career Fair, Geotex representatives introduced students to construction materials testing and inspection by showcasing concrete and soil samples commonly evaluated on project sites. Students were especially fascinated by fossils and artifacts discovered during field investigations, providing a glimpse into some of the unique experiences that can accompany a career in engineering.

Building More Than Infrastructure

At Geotex Engineering, we are proud to help build the schools, roads, and facilities that support our communities. Just as importantly, we are committed to helping build the future workforce that will lead those communities forward.

Whether through scholarships, career fairs, classroom presentations, or hands-on demonstrations, we believe every interaction with a student has the potential to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a passion for learning.

By investing in education today, we are helping create the engineers, scientists, technicians, and leaders of tomorrow.
