Geotex Engineering is an engineering firm that specializes in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) services.  Geotex is looking for a Business Development Representative to help drive company growth in our Dallas-Fort Worth region through initial client contact, relationship development, and CRM documentation. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, self-starter with a passion for excellence and client satisfaction. This position will reside in our Irving, TX – Las Colinas location.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship development
  • Be on time for internal meetings and client development meetings/events
  • Follow company processes and guidelines while also meeting department goals
  • Communicate effectively, coordinate meetings, and be able to adapt in various environments.
  • Collaborate internally with the engineering department, marketing, and project management team for potential contacts and future opportunities
  • Utilize Unanet, our company’s CRM, to accumulate and organize BD data
  • Ability to work after regular business hours as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally at events
  • Other duties as required

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to withstand moderate physical activity during networking events (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college
  • Previous Marketing/Business Dev./Construction Experience
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Developing Presentations
  • Able to travel up to 1%
