Geotex Engineering is currently seeking a full time construction materials testing (CMT) Estimator to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of the position will be to assist in the preparation of estimates and proposals for CMT projects in our Dallas-Fort Worth location.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reviewing plans and specifications in detail to become completely familiar with the scope of work involved
- Perform quantity take-offs utilizing construction documents
- Communicate with engineers, owners and contractors as necessary to efficiently assemble accurate estimates and proposals
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of proposals
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Construction materials testing experience preferred
