Geotex Engineering is looking for a full-time experienced or entry level or experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Technician for our office in Fort Worth. CMT Lab Technicians run a multitude of tests on concrete, soils, and rock in a lab setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform tests on construction materials such as soils, concrete, asphalt and more according to the ASTM testing methods. Some tests include, but are not limited to: plasticity index (PI), Minus #200s, moisture contents, swells, UCs, UUs, sulfates, specific gravity, California Bearing Ratio (CBR), proctors (D698, D1557, 113E, and 114E), compressive strength of cylinders, etc.
  • Record data and their findings legibly
  • Work in a clean and efficient manner
  • Communicate professionally with supervisor and co-workers

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Attention to detail
  • Punctuality a must
  • Good handwriting is a must
