Geotex Engineering is seeking a dependable and hands-on IT Manager to oversee the company’s technology systems and support our growing team. This role will manage day-to-day IT operations including user systems, servers, networks, and business software platforms while ensuring secure and reliable access for employees across office and field environments.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can maintain stable systems while helping improve processes, security practices, and technology infrastructure.

Geotex Engineering is a leading geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm serving the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Our team provides engineering expertise that supports the safe and successful development of infrastructure and construction projects across North Texas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage company IT infrastructure including workstations, laptops, servers, network systems, phones, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Monitor system performance, perform updates and patches, and maintain system reliability.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery processes, and data integrity.
  • Administer core business systems and collaboration platforms including Microsoft 365.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access across company systems.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding including device setup and system access.
  • Maintain security controls including multi-factor authentication and device compliance.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff across multiple offices and remote environments.
  • Investigate system issues, coordinate with vendors for support, and document resolutions.
  • Maintain IT ticketing, asset tracking, and system documentation.
  • Work with departments to support and improve business systems such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms.
  • Assist with system integrations, data management, reporting, and workflow improvements.
  • Support data integrity, reporting needs, and system configuration changes.
  • Maintain cybersecurity best practices and monitor systems for potential security risks.
  • Manage IT vendors and procurement for hardware, software, and service providers.
  • Assist leadership with planning and implementing technology improvements as the company grows.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT administration, systems management, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting Windows environments, servers, and office networks.
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and user/device management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with endpoint management or mobile device management (MDM) platforms (Jamf). (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards. (Preferred)
  • Experience supporting multi-office organizations or field-based teams. (Preferred)
  • Experience working with business systems such as ERP, CRM, or HRIS platforms. (Preferred)
