City of Denton
New Transit Center Construction
Construction Materials Testing

The Downtown Denton Transit Center is a vital intermodal transit hub operated by the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA). As the northern terminus of the A-train, it connects Denton County to the DART system and the greater DFW Metroplex, fueling economic development in the region. The center also serves as a transfer point for DCTA Connect buses and also houses the  DCTA’s customer service center.

Completed in 2011, the Transit Center project also included expanded parking, improve passenger drop-off areas, and additional bike storage. A 45-foot clock tower and landscaped plaza were designed as a community focal point, doubling as an outdoor performance space and complementing the 450-foot rail platform. The transit center has played a key role in Denton’s growth, serving as a catalyst for downtown redevelopment and enhancing mobility for residents.

We were proud to provide construction materials testing for this transformative project in a city on the move—just like our firm.
