Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical Engineering

In 2013, our firm had the privilege of providing geotechnical engineering services for the future Linda McNatt Animal Care & Adoption Center—one of our first geotechnical projects after expanding our services. Later, during construction, we returned to support the project with construction materials testing, ensuring the facility was built on a solid foundation.

This state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot shelter was a much-needed upgrade from the city’s aging, undersized facility. Thanks to a public-private partnership between the City of Denton and the Denton Animal Support Foundation (DASF), the shelter opened in 2015, offering vastly improved conditions for animals and staff. With expanded space, modernized care areas, and an on-site veterinary clinic, the shelter has played a key role in increasing Denton’s live release rate to 95%—a remarkable leap from the previous 40%.

We are proud to have played a role in this life-changing project and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a facility that provides second chances to so many animals in need.
