Old Celina Park Expansion
Old Celina Park Expansion Project – Building the Heart of a Growing City (2020)
As Celina continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing communities in North Texas, public spaces like Old Celina Park are essential for maintaining a strong sense of connection and quality of life.
In 2020, the City of Celina completed a major expansion of Old Celina Park, adding:
- Four new synthetic turf baseball fields
- Expanded grass multi-sport playing fields
- A new concessions area
- Extended walking trails
- 400 additional parking spaces
With these upgrades, the park has become the city’s premier gathering place for youth sports, family activities, and entertainment events. It’s more than a park—it’s a community anchor.
Geotex was honored to provide Construction Materials Engineering Testing (CMET) services during this expansion, including:
- Density testing
- Pier observation
- Masonry observation
Our work ensured the long-term performance and safety of key park structures while supporting the City’s vision for inclusive, high-quality recreation.
This project represents more than a milestone—it reflects our ongoing relationship with City of Celina, which began in 2017 and continues today with projects like the New Mexico Drive Improvements Project.
As Celina grows, Geotex remains a committed partner, providing the technical foundation needed for quality public infrastructure.
